Designed by Corey Damen Jenkins in collaboration with Eichholtz, this Netherlands-based showhouse project serves as both a display for maximalist interior design and the debut of the Corey Damen Jenkins for Eichholtz Lighting Collection. Every chandelier, pendant, sconce, and table lamp featured throughout these spaces comes from the internationally acclaimed collection, demonstrating how thoughtfully designed lighting can become the defining architectural element of any interior.
The formal living room and intimate parlor embrace dramatic contrasts, where ebony millwork, gilded flame-stitched walls, sculptural furnishings, and lush botanical accents create an atmosphere that is simultaneously glamorous and inviting. Bespoke lighting acts as jewelry for each room, casting a warm, layered glow that enhances every texture and silhouette. The adjacent principal bedroom offers a romantic retreat, gift-wrapped in an immersive hand-painted mural inspired by the grand villas of the Italian countryside. Soft blushes, verdant greens, and elegant classical forms are balanced by contemporary furnishings and richly layered textiles, creating a sanctuary that feels both timeless and fresh.
These interiors are a testament to Jenkins’ signature philosophy: that traditional design is best viewed through a modern lens, in which architecture, furnishings, art, and lighting are conceived as one harmonious composition. The end result is a collection of interiors that feels at once worldly, sophisticated, and unmistakably personal, while illustrating the transformative power of decorative lighting as one of the most important layers in exceptional design.
